Dr. Szczepanski is a board-certified family medicine physician with post-graduate certifications in Nutritional and Genomic Medicine. Her mission is to change the face of medicine by using an alternative approach to traditional practice. She is a firm believer that the future of medicine is not necessarily found on a script pad, and her Graduate degree in Neuropsychology facilitates a ground-breaking, mind-body approach to metabolic dysfunction. She is on a mission to close the great divide between traditional and naturopathic philosophies by acknowledging that they both operate on a continuum and that the point at which they meet can change for each individual patient.

Susie Broussard is a board certified Advanced Practice Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for wellness and empowering children and their families through a holistic approach to health. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and her Masters of Science in Nursing from University of South Alabama. 

Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Susie’s love of caring for families in the community began over 22 years ago. She has always felt that there is so much more to true wellness care that not only focuses on the physical aspects of the patient. Working with NuWell Medicine, Susie will combine traditional allopathic medicine with advanced diagnostics to address the true root causes of health issues. She is dedicated to understanding the unique genetic and environmental factors that influence each child’s health ensuring that every treatment plan is as individualized as the child. 

Susie is committed to continuing to build lasting relationships with children and their families, creating a safe and welcoming environment here at NuWell Medicine. She is excited to offer holistic, personalized health plans to families in Lafayette where every child’s health and happiness is at the heart of the care she provides. Jayne Mayer

Jayne Mayer is a board certified advanced practice family nurse practitioner. She was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science in Nursing at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. 

Jayne believes in a personalized approach to healthcare, offering alternative testing options and advanced diagnostics to create tailored solutions that support long-term vitality. Whether it’s optimizing well-being or addressing complex health challenges, her goal is to empower patients with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive. 

Through personal experience, she learned the value of incorporating nutrition counseling, physical activity, stress management, and mental health support to transform overall health. She is dedicated to helping patients restore their health through innovative and holistic approaches. With a deep passion for reformative medicine and a focus on concierge-based care, Jayne partners with her patients to uncover the root causes of their health and concerns. By integrating traditional medical practices with cutting-edge reformative treatments, Jayne partners with each patient to create customized wellness plans that optimize overall health and quality of life. 

Outside of the clinic, Jayne enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three children. She is passionate about helping other families create lasting health habits and fostering a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
